monetary donations
Your monetary donations help us acquire books to share with the greater Flatbush community. They also help us cover the costs of our (always free) programming, and our printing and operations overhead. Most importantly, your donations bring us one step closer to achieving our ultimate goal of a physical, permanent space to host our library and programming, right in the heart of Flatbush.
We also accept donations via Venmo!

book donations
In fall 2020, we received several hundred book donations, which we were able to distribute to our community members. We plan to share even more this year, starting in the spring!
We are always seeking book donations for our library, particularly books which make room for utopia, in the broadest possible sense. We aim to cultivate a library at the intersection of art, literature and radical imagination.
We are actively seeking donations of similarly inspired books that are:
written by Caribbean authors
translated from or into French/Haitian Creole
for children and young adults (age appropriate graphic novels and history/science books - like this, for example).
Beyond those categories, we will accept most books, although we turn away self-help, business, mainstream religious books, and textbooks. Ex-library books and Advance Reading Copies are welcome!
If you have books you feel would be a good fit for our collection, or just good reads you’d like to see circulating in the neighborhood, feel free to bring them by our roving library, or contact us about arranging a drop off or pick-up of your donation!
