We are artists, educators, and neighbors in Flatbush, Brooklyn working to create space for community members interested in the arts and social equity to convene in solidarity and safety. We have ties to Brooklyn College, and also hope to facilitate more interaction and mutual exchange between students/faculty/alums/staff and the surrounding community through public education and art.
In 2020, our pop-up library received several hundred book donations, which we were able to distribute to our community members. We plan to share even more this year! Click here to donate or get involved.
We see our work as artists and teachers as inextricable from networks of mutual aid, as well as movements of abolition, social ecology, and local solidarity economies. To that end, we are compiling an ongoing list below of the many wonderful resources and organizations which are already active in the neighborhood. We hope this will be useful to members of our community.
